Hi, I'm Caity

Food Technology teacher by day, face painter on weekends.

I teach high school during the week, and on weekends you'll find me at birthday parties, school fêtes and community events with my paints and brushes. I've been face painting for years, including a stint at Bunnings doing the Kids DIY workshops.

Everyone gets a moment to chat about what they'd like: a butterfly, a tiger, a galaxy, whatever speaks to them. Some prefer a design on their hand or arm instead of their face, which is always fine.

My teaching background means I'm comfortable working with people of all ages and needs, reading the room, and keeping things relaxed and inclusive. Quality paints, professional results, and a calm approach that works for every event.

Questions

Common questions about booking.

How far in advance should I book?

You can book up to the day before your event, though I can't guarantee availability that close. For weekend parties, I recommend booking 2-4 weeks ahead. School holidays are usually more flexible.

What areas do you cover?

I'm based in Mernda and cover areas within 30 minutes' drive - Doreen, South Morang, Whittlesea, Epping, Mill Park and surrounds. I can travel further with a small travel fee. Get in touch and I'll confirm.

Do you need anything from us?

Just a small table, two chairs, and access to water (a bathroom tap is fine). I bring everything else - paints, brushes, wipes, the lot. (I can bring a small trestle table if there are no free tables.)

What if it's an outdoor event?

Outdoor events are great - I just need a shaded spot if it's sunny, or undercover if there's a chance of rain. A gazebo or marquee works perfectly. I will still need 2 chairs.

Can people request specific designs?

Absolutely! I have a set menu on the day, and I'm happy to discuss special requests ahead of time. If it's a big party or there are a lot of faces to paint in a short time, custom requests may not be doable - you might need to book a longer session. Drop requests in the booking form and I'll let you know.

What if someone doesn't want their face painted?

No worries at all - I offer arm, hand, or just a small wrist designs. Everyone gets the time and space they need to make decisions!

How do the paints come off?

Warm water and a gentle face cloth or wet wipe at the end of the day. The paints are water-based and come off easily - no scrubbing needed.

What about allergies?

The paints I use are non-toxic, hypoallergenic, and water-based. If anyone has sensitive skin or known allergies, let me know when you book. I can do a small patch test on the day if you'd like.

Do you paint adults too?

Absolutely! I'm happy to paint anyone's face. The packages are based on simpler designs (which take less time), but I'm happy to chat about what you'd like for your event.

What if we need you to stay longer?

No problem at all! If you'd like to extend on the day, it's $60 per half hour. Just let me know and I'll do my best to accommodate.

Do you work with neurodivergent guests?

Yes, absolutely. My teaching background means I'm comfortable working with people of all needs. If you'd like to chat about specific support or adjustments, just let me know when you book.
